August, already?! Time flies when you’re doing all the things having fun! My first full summer in Chicago has been one for the record books – in the best way possible, of course. 
I went for a long run along the lakefront on Sunday (better late than never, right?) and let my mind wander to all of the people and experiences that have made life so great as of late – one of those feel good mornings, for sure.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend BLU at Shedd Aquarium and it far exceeded my (already high) expectations! If you’re unfamiliar with the event, BLU is meant to raise money for Shedd Aquarium’s rescue, conservation, and education initiatives. Not to mention it’s an amazing party and the perfect excuse to get dolled up.
Kit, Sarah, Ashlee, Jennifer, Megan and I had the best time eating, drinking, and dancing the night away! Oh, and I finally got to ride on top of one of those double-decker tour buses on the way to the after party in River North (#itsthelittlethings). 
I wore a blue lace dress I picked up from Anthropologie and my go-to nude heels (from Banana Republic last season, but this season’s are nearly identical). You know those pieces in your closet that make you feel like a million bucks? This dress. I only wish it came in more colors! 
My girlfriend Erin gets in tomorrow night for Lollapalooza so I’m hunkering down these next two days to get as much work done as I possibly can (hence why I’m keeping it short and sweet today).
