In light of recent events, I’ve been pouring my extra energy into my workouts – which should not be confused with half marathon training, because let’s be honest, there hasn’t been much of that going on. Side note: I had every intention of getting back to the grind this weekend, but my body had different plans for me and I was hit with a fever and sickness for the second time in a month. Woof. Thirty-three days stand between me and that finish line – no more time for excuses!
If you’re wondering what I’ve been up to, I’ve got all the sweaty details. ClassPass finally made their way to Kansas City and I’ve been taking full advantage. If you aren’t familiar with the program, allow me to give you a quick rundown. By signing up for a monthly membership to ClassPass ($79/month), you can visit a variety of different boutique fitness studios in the Kansas City area as many times as your little heart desires. The only catch, you can only visit a specific studio three times per month. Once the month is over, you can go back to that studio that you just can’t get enough of again! Basically, it’s just another one of those things that make me say, “Why didn’t I think of that?!” Sort of like the pool noodle or the snuggie.
Not only does your membership get you in the door to a slew of fitness studios, but it’s a surefire way to keep your body from plateauing. I’ve taken a Mojo Cycling class, SpinTENse at Fusion Fitness and I ventured back to one of my favorites, Health House, for Medicine Man.
I also have to give them props for their mobile app which makes finding and registering for classes super easy, not to mention the fact that is can be done on the go! As for that $20 late cancel fee? I have one word for you: accountability.
If you aren’t in the Kansas City area, be sure to check out the other cities they’ve landed in like St. Louis, Houston, Denver and Miami, to name a few! Sign up to get your rear in gear here. Also, if you sign up for a month and decide commitment isn’t your thing, you can cancel anytime. No funny business.
If you still have questions, be sure to check out the ClassPass FAQs page.

UGH. My Equinox membership doesn’t expire until August and I just browsed WAY too many appealing classes near me 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁
ClassPass is the absolute BEST! I just wrote about it last week, I’m totally hooked! It’s a really fun way to explore different neighborhoods in your city too.

I’ve actually been considering signing up for ClassPass here in NYC once I’m back for good when the house is done/sold!! I hope you feel better!
Welcome to the wonderful world of ClassPass!! I’ve had so much fun trying out new classes (any laughing a lot at myself trying to figure out how to do some of these classes!) I want to hear more about some classes you try!! 🙂
Oh my gosh! ClassPass sounds so amazing… I am also thinking, why didn’t I come up with that?!
I wish I lived in a bigger city again to experience this. Small town living in not for me.
I’m loving ClassPass. I’ve tried so many things I wouldn’t have had the chance to try otherwise.

I totally wish there were more classes out my way – I would love to try this! But you went to Mission Farms and that isn’t too far away! You motivate my lazy arse, J!
