This week was really, really good. I can’t exactly pinpoint why, I just know that I put myself out there and at the end of the day (or week), that’s all I can do and there is no better feeling going into the weekend. Oh, and the fact that it was in the 60s and 70s helped to give me a boost in the mood department. How was your week?
I’ll leave you with this round up of links, enjoy!
- My friend Maritza is a force to be reckoned with and she’s taking over the Internet one hair tutorial at a time. She was featured on Brit + Co for the first time this week, showing off her latest curly hair tutorial and I can’t get over how gorgeous it turned out.
- I’ll take these Sole Society d’orsay flats in every print, please!
- There are no words for the @mydaywithleo Instagram account. If it doesn’t make you laugh, then I don’t know what will.
- Chelsea writes The Financial Diet and I’ve been bingeing on everything she’s ever written for the past several weeks. For whatever reason, money fascinates me. I want to know everything about it – how people are making it, what they’re doing with it…the list goes on. One of her recent articles states that, “Every dollar you save in your 20s is worth as much as $7 or more by retirement.”…and that is precisely why my Dad and I scheduled a call this morning to go over what to do with my 401k. Have I mentioned that he’s the best?
- I know what you’re thinking, it’s too early to be thinking about swimwear, but before we know it, Memorial Day Weekend will be here and with that comes significantly less clothing. This bikini top + these bikini bottoms are on the top of my list! Not only are they adorable, but they’re affordable, too!
- Why am I just hearing about the term “smize”?
- Another Instagram account I just can’t get enough of: @balanceintheburbs. I had the pleasure of meeting Cara last year (she was with me for my first yoga experience) and I’ve loved following along with her journey. I’m hoping to get to one of her classes soon!

I’m looking forward to watching some Big XII basketball (Rock Chalk!) and celebrating St. Pat’s early with a few of my closest friends! Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Twitter for a sneak peak of the weekend in action. I’ll see you back here on Monday morning. Happy Friday!
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEKEND?
Editor’s note: I just realized I’ve been abbreviating volume wrong for the past 11 Weekly Rounds posts I’ve put together. The horror!

one of my personal goals this year is the be kick ass at managing my money. I didn’t talk about in depth on the blog but money fascinates me too. My goal this year is to get rid of ALL credit cards. So far I’m done with 3 and have 2 left. There’s so many ways you can trim expenses, I need to follow financial diet.
I never talk about money either, so personal I guess, but isn’t that what a blog is about??? Great links, hope you have a great weekend and enjoy this gorgeous weather!
You made my day! Thanks so much for the shoutout and kind words. Namaste. 🙂
That model/girls hair is gorgeous! What a talented friend you have
This weekend I get to foster some puppies, be home after a week away, and see one of my best friends: YOU!
Those Sole Society flats are DARLING!! Defiantly need to add a pair to my collection as well! Great find!

My friend and I were just discussing saving money this weekend during our St Patty’s fun. We’re taking out a little cash to use for our weekend fun and once it’s gone it’s gone. It’s so easy to swipe swipe swipe for drinks and food, so hopefully this will help me be more conscious of my spending!

I’m working all weekend, but I can’t be too mad about it… its still gonna be gorgeous out!
Thanks for the link to The Financial Diet, I too feel I will like that. I’m always thinking about my savings plan, 401k, Roth IRA, and on and on. I’m currently trying to prepare to buy a house and it’s all very overwhelming.
I am trying to managed my money sooooo welll and I am going to kill it this year I am determined.
