There’s always so much hype and pressure to have an amazing New Years Eve. Through trial and error, I’ve found that staying in with a few close friends is way more exciting than swarms of people (the majority of whom you don’t know) fighting to get a $10 drink at the bar.
My sister and her roommate threw a bangin’ New Years Eve party. It’s no secret that I’ve got a thing for sparkle and thankfully, there was no shortage of disco balls. My favorite part of the night was the photo booth they set up in the corner of their apartment. It was a hit and I’m pretty sure a bajillion pictures were taken in front of it that night.
They hung a disposable gold tablecloth (from Target), filled clear ornaments with tinsel (both from Hobby Lobby) and strung them from the ceiling to create a backdrop.
A few free hand foam cutouts glued to wooden dowels served as props for a photo and fun filled night! We also used the hashtag #A2ZNYE to round up photos and posts from the whole party, check it out on Twitter and Instagram.
LOVE the NYE decor! My fiancee and I definitely had a low-key NYE and stayed in too. 🙂 Why pay $10 per drink when you can have a whole bottle for that price at home? Haha.
Thank you! I completely agree. Staying in is wayyyy more fun and you aren’t broke at the end of the night haha
I really like your post! Thanks a lot for sharing this amazing piece. I am going to recommend it to a friend of mine who is going to find it to be very helpful.
