Wedding season is in full swing and I’ve been busy celebrating with my amazing friends! It all started when one of my best friends got engaged earlier this year. The proposal was so sweet and her ring is GORG! Even though her wedding isn’t until November of 2014 the planning has begun and I have the honor of being one of her bridesmaids. While the anticipation builds for her wedding I’ve had the pleasure of celebrating all summer!
The first weekend in September we spent the night in Wichita and celebrated at a wedding reception for our friends Tessa and Fiser. They got married in Jamaica and threw a party back here in the states for everyone! They even brought a little taste of the island back with them and whipped up “Jamaica Smiles” for people to sip on throughout the night.
The party continued this weekend when we attended a wedding/reception for our friends Kristen and Stephen. We danced the night away at Drexel Hall here in Kansas City and then followed it up with an after party in Westport! I failed miserably when it came to getting a decent pic of the bridal party, but their wedding photos were shot by Hannah Marie Photography, click here to take a peek on Facebook!

The wedding madness doesn’t stop there. My Dad and Rhonda celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last week! Such a milestone. I remember bits and pieces of their wedding day, but one thing I’m certain of – love was in the air. At the time, my Dad was working as a golf pro at Colley Creek and they got married right there on the 18th green! I love looking at the photo album from that night. Everyone looked so genuinely happy to be there. I wish I could relive that night again! Last but not least, my friend Courtney will be getting married this November and I can’t wait to watch her walk down the aisle!

After all of this, I would be lying if I said I didn’t experience a bit of wedding fever coming over me! People generally ask, “sooo when are you and Pete going to get engaged?!” We’ve been dating for almost three years so it’s not like I can blame them! We live together, we share a bank account and we are both happy with where our relationship is. Don’t get me wrong, a six-carat Harry Winston sitting pretty on my ring finger would be great and all. Legally Blonde, anyone?..okay. But I want to make sure we are at a good place in life as a whole. I have big dreams and I can’t wait to get married one day, but for now I’m just fine with where I’m at. And you better believe I’m taking notes as I go.
