I told you all on Friday how excited I was to be heading to the Kansas City Blogger Brunch, but what I didn’t know was that it could exceed my expectations as much as it did. Simply walking into Vivilore was a treat in itself. Located in the Englewood Arts District in Independence, MO., the retail and dining boutique had an eclectic air about it. Before the brunch got started I had the chance to browse the shop and much to my surprise, I encountered a talking bird!
Things kicked off mid morning with mimosas and a mix and mingle. I had such a great time chatting with the gals behind some of the blogs that I follow, and I enjoyed meeting some newbies as well. We each had a place setting and before our meal was served we indulged in donut hole skewers (so cute!). I waited 12 long days to break my sweets fast so you can image my anticipation leading up to the event. Nine donuts holes, one macaron and a half a slice of cake later, I was on cloud nine. It was all I had in me not to break out the cookies Alissa made on the car ride home, but I managed.
I think the photos speak for themselves, enjoy!

Each of us were gifted an amazing bag full of goodies. From earrings to delicious macarons to a “Classy Ladies Brunch” print, we walked away with some sweet loot. As if that weren’t enough, there were several drawings for giveaways. I won a lifetime supply of Pretzel Crisps! Okay, not really a lifetime, but close enough. My boyfriend is borderline obsessed with buffalo wings, so that particular flavor was right up his alley. I like my pretzels plain jane – sea salt and original were delicious.
I want to say thank you again to Hello Cheeseburger, The Adored Life, Tulip and all of the other amazing sponsors who made it possible for me to attend such a fabulous event!
Thank YOU for coming Jess! It meant so much to me that I had your support before, during and after the event! You are such a great friend!

Umm. That looks like it was fabulous! Things that kicks off with mimosas are always a “go” in my book. I’m gonna have to go read your other post now to figure out what the event was all about. Blogging tips? Networking?
I agree! It was a networking event between local bloggers and a few small businesses 🙂 It was great to meet people I had been following along with online and also find new blogs to follow
This looks like such a fun time and I CANNOT get over how cute the place settings were! I think we definitely need to do something like you guys did in Minneapolis!
Wow that’s amazing! Gorgeous table – wish I lived in KC!
