I’m back with more on Kansas City Fashion Week! Before the show I met up with Alissa and Ashley for the first time. Talk about nerve-racking. Formal introductions took place and I quickly discovered that I had nothing to worry about, leaving me with a growling stomach as my nerves dissipated. After we stopped by the Ulta Beauty backstage event we realized we had some time to kill before the show. Alissa convinced me to let her snap a few outfit photos. I’ve been breaking comfort zone barriers left and right, people. I love pictures and I’m an admitted Instagram addict. However, being alone in front of a camera is not the same and I certainly haven’t mastered the selfie.

Posing in pictures with other people is so much easier. I loved Ashley’s outfit choice. It was bold and matched her no nonsense personality perfectly. I could tell we were all going to get along juuuuust fine.
A few weeks before KCFW I won a giveaway over on Sarah Scoop to Rent the Runway where I picked out the dress and clutch that I wore to Saturday’s show. It was my first time using RTR and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. They delivered to my door in a timely manner and I just dropped the items into the prepaid UPS bag on Sunday morning and sent them on their way. Thanks again, Sarah! And a BIG thanks to Alissa for giving me a glimpse of what it’s like to be a bonafide fashion blogger.
