I’m still in full on recovery mode from spending this past weekend at Table Rock Lake celebrating my friend Whitney’s bachelorette party. Proof of our good time is in the hashtag #5Girls1Lake.
One of my favorite parts about being on the lake is how different it looks at various points in the day and depending on what the weather is up to. We were lucky the sun stuck around for most of our trip, but occasionally it dipped behind the clouds and left us basking in the overcast rays.
We settled in the first night and played a few games, wore fake “engagement” rings (which in turn made me want a real one more than I ever imagined – it’s just fun to look at!) and caught up on life.
The next morning we managed to peel ourselves out of bed for a little walk/jog and took the kayaks out for a spin. I kept asking myself, why don’t we live on the water?

After that, our “tour guide” took us out on the boat and showed us the perfect spot where we could swing from the rocks out into the water. If you’re wondering, I did not partake in this activity. It was clearly something that needed to be left up to the professionals.
The rest of the weekend was spent grilling out, sipping drinks, talking in fake accents, laughing until our cheeks hurt and a slew of other things that shouldn’t be posted here (kidding). So many memories that I hope will stick in my mind for a lifetime.
I can’t wait to watch Keith and Whitney tie the knot in November 🙂

I honestly miss the lake life! Every weekend was like a mini vacation. Although once winter comes around and everyone leaves it’s not so fun!
