Happy Friday, guys! I’ve got a little photo diary of sorts for you today seeing as how I seemed to have crammed a months’ worth of life into one short week.The view from my new apartment gives me a glimpse of the water and watching the sun pop up over the horizon makes for some insanely gorgeous mornings. One of my best friends (hey Baby Erin!) came up for Lollapalooza last Wednesday night and we spent four days bouncing around the city and watching some of our favorite artists perform!
Popsugar and Starbucks Refreshers teamed up to host an event on Saturday afternoon at Boleo down in the Loop so we popped by and it ended up being a highlight of the weekend for me. We saw the talented Betty Who perform and the fact that we were tucked away in such an intimate space made for an unforgettable afternoon!No visit from Erin is without our favorite brunch at Summerhouse Santa Monica. As you can see, we took our hydrating very seriously over the weekend. 😉
On Monday night, the bareMinerals team hosted an event at Cindy’s Rooftop where I got matched for their new Bare Pro foundation. I’ve been applying it all week with their liquid foundation brush and setting it with the mineral veil. It’s safe to say, I’m officially a convert! So, so good.
My friend Amanda teaches stand-up paddle boarding classes and on Tuesday night we hopped on the train up to Edgewater for what ended up being one of the most beautiful nights out on Lake Michigan. The water was smooth and Mother Nature seemed to know exactly what I needed – the sky was on fire! (and not gonna lie, so were my thighs after keeping myself upright on a board for over an hour)I’m giving my summer bucket list a little breather over the next few days and am looking forward to catching up on work and sleep (if that’s even a thing), and getting to some of my favorite workout classes.
