Okay, who do I need to send a petition to in order to make every weekend a long one? That would be grand. Do you ever wish you could just bottle up time and relive it over and over again? Since we obviously can’t do that, photos will have to do. I shared a few snaps over on my Instagram, but I thought I’d show you what else made the holiday weekend so great.
– Pete and I started the weekend with a happy hour at a little joint around the corner from our apartment. Since I’m participating in The Everygirl’s 30 Days of Social Media Free Socializing Challenge I snapped a quick pic and then #latergrammed after we enjoyed some good ‘ol conversation
– Home Sweet Home at my parents house in Topeka
– I told you all my Nana and Papa Colonel were visiting from San Antonio. We spent one evening at the ball park for my little brother’s tee ball game. He made sure we knew when he was going to be playing catcher and I think I even caught him looking up in the stands to make sure we were watching.
– Spent the Fourth of July at a longtime friend’s lakeside pool and even ran into Ms. Shanley
– Every great celebration has mimosas. The Fourth of July was no exception.
– Headed to the driving range with Dad and my little brothers. Let’s just say my game has seen better days. Forrreeeeee.
– How cute is my Grandpa drinking from the hose? Makes my heart melt.
– You can’t get much better than a sunset over the lake.
– I also met Tuka, the newest addition to the Zimlich family! He’s the sweetest little thing. I just wish I didn’t want to claw my eyes out after giving him some lovin’.
Not pictured: birthday celebrations with Pete’s family, too much fun with friends and Sunday dinner at my Grandparents. Needless to say, I’m beat. But it was so worth it.

I LOVE the idea of that social media free challenge! Lately I have really put my phone down and do the same thing – take a picture and then when I’m alone or have all my other things done I will get on Instagram or wherever! I think more people need to do that 😉 Looks like you had a great weekend!
