Happy Monday, friends! We spent the weekend cheering on our Kansas City Royals who clenched the World Series title last night – causing the sky to light up like the fourth of July. I’m feeling such an immense amount of pride for this city I call home. The electricity pulsing through the air is something I’ll never forget and I’ve got a feeling we’ll be riding out this high for a while.
Now that the season of living is truly over (hello, it’s November, after all), I’m fresh out of excuses as to why I’m not ready to get back to the grind.
The Type A in me has already started dreaming and scheming for 2016, which meant as soon as I heard Sugar Paper released their planners at Target, I jumped on it. I’ve been using their 8.5 x 11 planner for the past two years and haven’t found anything comparable when it comes to the features I’m looking for. It’s large enough to slip full-sized sheets of paper (like my GSD list) in between the pages without the edges sticking out (subsequently becoming a crinkled mess), gives a monthly view and plenty of space for daily to-do’s. Basically, it’s no-fuss. If you’re looking for something a little smaller, Sugar Paper offers several different sizes and styles, which can be found here. (Side note: Target is offering free shipping now through Christmas!)
I use my planner strictly for personal and blog related meetings/events/tasks/workouts, while I use my (digital) Outlook calendar to keep myself on track at work. I’ve found that keeping things separate helps me to hone in on what needs to get done in each area of my life without overwhelming me. I also keep a long-term to-do list (again with the GSD notepad), a weekly to-do list both at work and at home and then write down daily tasks in my planner that pop into my head as the week progresses.
How do you stay organized?
Because no two jobs or lifestyles are the same, I rounded up the best planners for 2016 down below in hopes that you will find the perfect fit for your needs.

I’ve already penciled in all of the important dates…too far? 😉
So excited that the Royals won! It’s killing me not to be there – I would love to be at that parade tomorrow and just soak it all in. Sigh. It will always be “home.”
Ah, I bet! It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. I’ve heard so many people say that about Kansas City and I think they’re onto something 😉 Have a great weekend!
Why do I want all the planners all the time?! These are all too cute!
Too bad there isn’t a need for more than one 😉
Beautiful picks! We saw you liked our Rifle Paper Co. “Get It Done!” notepad. It’s not a planner but pretty paper nonetheless! 🙂
I don’t discriminate against paper products…I love them all!
Love these!! Perfect holiday gifts! xo

No matter how I’ve tried to digitize my calendar, it seems like I always need a paper version! The Sugar Planners seem right up my alley, and I couldn’t agree more with the 8.5 by 11 theory – I need the space!!!
I’m terrified something will happen to it and my life will disappear, but then again…I guess I could lose my planner. Hope you have a great weekend!
