Weekly Rounds

We made it to Friday! Although just barely here on my end. I’m thankful for friends like Alissa who like to overindulge in chips + queso and margs while having a serious vent session about this little thing we call life.

queso + margarita night

Now, for the good stuff:

-Refinery 29 published an article highlighting 10 Ways Successful People Start Their Mornings. My favorite excerpt? “I used to go to the gym for reasons of vanity, now it’s all for reasons of sanity.” I hear ya Mr. Mildenhall, I hear ya.

-Why must Kendi make me want everything she puts on? Like this swing dress. I’ll take it in black and nude, please!

-Can we get a champagne bottle, chips/salsa, cheese wedge and face palm emoji? I would use them all the time. And the ideas don’t end there. In case any of you secretly work for the Emoji World Headquarters, I’m for hire.

-Things you shouldn’t plan for the week after Labor Day: a half marathon and a trip to the dermatologist. Guess who did both of these?

-Are you following along on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest

Do you have any fun weekend plans? I’m still recovering from last weekend’s shenanigans, but I’m looking forward to knocking out some stuff on my to-do list and hopefully getting in a long run for my training. Have a good one!

You should totally consider run/walking your half. I know it seems so lame to walk, but it seriously helped me so much at the Rock the Parkway. did a run 3 minutes walk 2 minutes ratio and it was perfect. Even though I didn’t train i did better on that race than other races I hadn’t trained for! I also wasn’t as sore the next day. http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/run-walk/

I really need to start making exercise part of my daily routine. I feel so good afterward, but it takes me way too much time to get motivated!
