A few months back I did a round up using a list of adjectives to highlight what was happening in my life. It’s crazy how much changes in just two short months. Things that seemed like the end of the world back then are just a distant memory (a bad one, but at least it’s distant), my friend Hannah has an almost two month old baby girl and I’ve got a drawer full of new socks.
Annie inspired me to make a shorter and much more manageable list this week. I give you, currently:
Celebrating: At this time next week I’ll be waking up on the water at Table Rock lake. I can’t wait to celebrate one of my best gals bachelorette weekend! We’ll be keeping track of the shenanigans using the hashtag #5Girls1Lake over on Instagram and Twitter – feel free to follow along 🙂
Craving: Chocolate, but honestly, when am I not? Seeing Godiva goodies from Isn’t That Charming only heightened my usual cravings.
Planning: On August and September to be just as insane as the rest of the summer! My schedule is bursting at the seams. But don’t worry, it’s all in the name of fun.
Reading: I just picked up Sheryl Sandberg’s “Lean In” from the library. Old school, I know. I also reserved “Uganda Be Kidding Me” by Chelsea Handler. I realize these books are polar opposites, but I believe that life is all about a healthy balance. Have you read either of them?
Anticipating: Fall. I can’t wait until the humidity dissipates and the temps drop down low enough that I feel comfortable running outside again.
What about you? Are you celebrating anything? Or reading a new book?
I have that book on my to-read list on GoodReads. It’s pretty far down there but I can’t wait to read it!

I loved “Lean In” – it has seriously changed the way that I approach situations at work. I think it’s a great read for both men and women!

I always say I am going to read in the summer…. and then I never do. But if I WAS going to, this book and Girlboss would be it!

I love that you use the library! I need to check out the library here and utilize it! So much cheaper than buying books. Plus the library is a nice place to escape the craziness of life.

Lean In is also on my list. Haven’t read that title from Chelsea Handler but did read My Horizontal Life a few years ago. It was hilarious, don’t read it in public…people will be like, “why is this weird chick laughing so hard?!”
FALL FALL FALL FALL. So close, so close 🙂
I really want to read ‘Lean in’, my friend told me it’s her favorite book from this year. I just read Eleanor and Park which was wonderful.
I’ve been wanting to read The Desire Map by Danielle Laporte. I had discovered her via a friend and then downloaded a sample of her book on iBooks and was hooked! I like reading physical books but it’s nowhere to be found (or at least not shipping in for a while). Happy weekend! xo – Jessika
I love that book. I’m so addicted to reading lately. Have fun on the lake!
I am too! It’s such a nice escape from the real world 🙂 Thank you!
I’ll have to check that one out! I’m all about the physical books, too 😉 Enjoy the weekend!!
It’s great so far! And I think it’s going to be the next book we read for #BookClubBlogger. Let me know if you want to join in 🙂
I can’t wait to get there! That would be the life 🙂 Hope your weekend is great too! I just remembered I need to email you back about my idea 😉
I’ve read that..and all of her other books. They are hilarious haha. So inappropriate at times, but I just can’t help myself!
Wayyy cheaper and you don’t risk getting stuck with a book you just don’t like!
I definitely read more in the winter when I hibernate! haha
I’m loving it so far! I know a few people who could learn a lot from reading it 😉 #girlpower
I think we are going to cover it in the coming months for #BookClubBlogger. Let me know if you want to join in!
Okay I love that you are just as obsessed with doughnuts as me, first of all. Second, I’m totally feeling you on the planning process of these next couple months- busy busy busy!
A girl after my own heart (or stomach). I’m addicted! I thrive on a booming schedule, but every once in awhile, a gal needs a break!
