Wardrobe Essentials

wardrobe essentials

Over the next several months I’m going to be tackling my closet, purging the old and finding pieces to build a wardrobe that I feel comfortable in. If you’re anything like me, you like to glam it up every now and then, but you also want to be comfortable and don’t care to break the bank. These picks are versatile and will transition nicely from season to season.

I already have a go-to LBD, but I’m looking to add a little white {lace} dress, too. I’m willing to spend a little more on something that I’ll save for years to come.

I don’t know how I made it this far in life without a pair of strappy black sandals. I’ve been wearing these wedge sandals non-stop. The tiny bit of heel adds some sass, but your feet won’t be killing you at the end of the day!

Blazers have been a staple in the workin’ girls wardrobe foreverrr, but the cape blazer takes it to a whole new level of class. Get in my closet.

I saw this wrap bracelet over on Lily Dawson Designs Instagram and fell in love. I’m a big fan of pieces that can be worn multiple ways – a plus when you’re building a budget friendly wardrobe!

So tell me, what are some of the key items hanging in your closet? How would you describe your style?

I also believe in building a timeless wardrobe and I have so many LBD I can’t even begin to count them. Ha! Things I can’t live without are tailored jeans, blazers and basic tees and tanks to layer under pieces.

  4. My wardrobe is entirely sad. I hate shopping for clothes (picky to a fault) bt own 25 scarves! I need to get off my usual jeans, toms, and a t-shirt wardrobe because someone once told me that my style is very “androgynous” and I took that as not in the good way…

  5. Great round up! I especially love the piece of versatile jewelry. It’s a great statement piece that you can mix up throughout the week. Thanks for sharing! I’d never heard of Lily Dawson before!

I’m sort of that way, too. I get so overwhelmed sometimes! 25 scarves……HOLY SMOKES. I think you always look put together, poo on them.
