Hi, happy Monday! The sun is shining and it feels like we’re in the homestretch before the spring season graces us with its presence here in Chicago.
I’m coming off a really good weekend all around…and solid night of sleep, finally! Between a noisy neighbor and the time change, things spiraled out of control rather quickly in that department. And once my sleep goes, everything else follows suit in the worst way–especially my mood and focus. I crawled into bed before 8 after turning on my sleep meditation and I’m pretty sure I was out before my head hit the pillow. Woke up without an alarm this morning and there’s no greater feeling, IMO.
EASY TRANSITION OUTFIT
I wore this outfit to dinner on Saturday night and it’s one of those that makes me feel confident, while also being comfortable, which is always the goal when I’m getting dressed. These wide-leg flare pants are super versatile and offer the perfect amount of stretch (a note: I sized down to a 2). I don’t go into an office, but if I did, they would work for that as well.
On top is this crossback tank I picked up on an impromptu trip to Abercrombie. It’s a heavier material and I’m lucky as I don’t have a need to wear a bra with it. I think the brand runs small (proof that some things never change) so I went up from my usual size to a medium–despite my small boob privilege–so that’s something to keep in mind when ordering! It’s a good top to have and definitely one I can’t wait to wear with white shorts come summertime. And if you’ve been following me for a while, you know these white leather sneakers have been a staple in my closet since 2018.
Whenever I get a new phone I buy a phone case and I don’t change it up until the next new phone I get but my old case was falling apart at the seams. I thought this wavy iPhone case was cute and is a nice little refresh.
Pretty routine week around here. I’ve got therapy after work and we’re in a “deload” at Ethos coming off a 12-week block of lifting and I’m very much looking forward to a little reset. Hoping the weather holds up for run club on Wednesday evening, and am just going to make sure I’m doing what I need for myself to get good sleep each night.
I hope you all have the best week!
