Girl’s Weekend Party Pack

With Memorial Day Weekend on the horizon and a visit from two of my best gals next week, I thought it’d be the perfect time to round-up some girl’s weekend essentials. A DIY party pack, if you will. 😉DIY girl's weekend kit

These drinking buddies are what I like to call good, cheap fun. I bought a set of the little men before my birthday weekend last year and my girlfriends and I took them everywhere with us. I’m sad to report Chad, Brad, Ryan, and the rest of the crew didn’t make it through, but never fear, a quick Amazon Prime order and we were blessed with a whole new group of guys at the ready! (Side note: a lot of these items pictured above are available on Shopbop and you can link your Amazon Prime account for even faster shipping if you’re hoping to get something in time for MDW!)

I stopped in Madewell a few weeks ago and tried on this little polka dot dress and it’s now hanging in my closet just waiting to be worn. It’s everything you could want in a summer dress! Easy, breezy, flirty fit, and the ruffle detail on the straps is too perfect.

These cat eye sunglasses aren’t too over-the-top and the tortoise print is a classic.

I’m still not sure I can pull off the one-piece (I have a longer torso and have found the fit on most to be uncomfortable and slightly unflattering), but something about this red and white striped one-piece swimsuit makes me think I’d be into it. I think it’s the drawstring? Super cute if this is a style you’re into! I will say though, this tie-front suit is darling on! The cutout in the front worked for me. I’m new to Marine Layer, but am loving what I’ve tried from them so far, like this sweater tank. If you’re not sold on the one-piece either, this red and white striped bikini top is something different than the basic bikini (you can shop the bottoms here).

I ordered this cooler to tote adult beverages to and from the beach this summer and aside from it smelling sort of funny when I first got it (it’s currently airing out), it’s perfect! I think this cooler is a really cute option, too! And you can’t beat $20.

I’m sure this is the first time you’re hearing this, but it’s spritz season! Don’t forget the pineapple ice cube trays or if watermelons are more your thing, that’s an option too.

Hello, my name is Jess and I’m never not looking for somewhere to charge my phone. This portable charger is fitting as I’m planning to go all the places this spring and summer!

I’m of the belief that you can never have too many koozies and these are super affordable!. Sip, sip, hooray!

If you know me, you know I burn veryyy easily in the sun. I was having a hard time finding a facial sunscreen that works with both my rosacea and my desire to not look like a white, greasy mess post-application. One of my freelance clients sells this sunscreen at their salon, so I reached out to the company to see if they’d be up for letting me try it and they were so gracious to send it my way. It works really well under my foundation!

I love everything about this punchy pineapple print dress…except the price tag. I’m dying to treat myself, but I’m big on cost-per-wear and don’t know if I can justify it unless I can make it work for an event I’m attending at the end of July.

This striped blanket is perfect for the beach, lake, or posting up on the lawn in the park!

If you buy one thing from this round-up, make it this instant camera. I’ve gone on and on about it for years now, but it really is some of the best money I’ve ever spent. People get such a kick out of it when I ask them to snap a photo of my friends with it when we’re out. Don’t forget to order the Instax mini film as it doesn’t come with it (unless you order as a kit. And I love this white frame for displaying the photos and am thinking about ordering another one.

One more thing, there are so many great things marked down for the Shopbop sale, so don’t miss that!

Do you have anything excited planned in the coming weeks?
