Holiday Party Dresses

holiday party dresses

I couldn’t love this round-up of holiday party dresses more and given that the Waldorf Holiday Tree Lighting invite found its way into my inbox yesterday, it is time!

Since holiday party wear tends to sell out this time of year and sizes can become (even more) limited, I tried to include more than just one retailer, and then sectioned them off by price point starting from lowest to highest.

AFFORDABLE HOLIDAY DRESSES

I ordered this affordable bow black dress for the event next week!

I also really love the look of this affordable velvet mini dress (also sold here)

The details on this textured jacquard dress! Mango has some really great items right now, like this asymmetric bow dress. Both of these dresses would be perfect if you’re looking for a winter wedding guest dress option.

A little red dress versatile enough to wear for more than just holiday parties, also on sale here.

This satin metallic jumpsuit could be worn for holiday festivities from now until New Years Eve! (comes in a few other colors on Nordstrom).

I wore this off the shoulder dress for a wedding at the end of August and then again for another wedding in October.

Reformation breslin dress has hint of shimmer and comes in a vibrant green, silver sparkle, and black (shown in the product widget below), depending on what color scheme you’re going for!

INVESTMENT HOLIDAY PARTY DRESSES

red holiday dress with a big bow tie in the back
Bless this mess. I was in the middle of the first of two moves in less than two weeks.

I wore this red Staud bow tie dress for a wedding welcome party (if you click through to the link here you’ll see it also comes in this same exact silhouette, but in black, on Nordstrom). I love the look of a mock neck and a shift dress is just so comfortable. It’s available on Shopbop as well. I took a size small but could have gone down to an XS for a little tighter fit.

Staud also has a black capped sleeved dress with the same bow-tie back.

If I had to pick one thing from this round-up, it would be this velvet strapless mini dress. I don’t know what it is, maybe the fabric with that bubble hem, but I just love it so much…and with the block heels?! Ugh.

You might remember the white jumpsuit I have…it now comes in black! The halter neck v-line is so flattering and it really is such a comfortable jumpsuit (also fully stocked on Revolve, but I like the styling photo better on Shopbop lol).

HOLIDAY PARTY SHOES AND ACCESSORIES

Versatile black heels

Staud platform block heels – another big ticket item but OMG these are so good.

Metallic silver wavy iPhone casemetallic is having a moment so if you’re looking to play around with the metallic trend without an investment, this is it. I’ve got this cover on my phone right now and it’s a nice change up (along with the Octobuddy).

Affordable tennis necklace

Gold stretch bracelet stack

Single gold bracelet

These opaque tights have been my go-to for years and offer the perfect amount of thickness, IMO. They’re definitely on the thicker side, but that’s necessary living in Chicago.

Norma Kamali can do no wrong in my eyes, and she does a jumpsuit so well. I’m always browsing.

Another little red dress with a big festive bow (I imagine this will go fast given that it’s on Tuckernuck)

affordable black slip skirt
This black slip skirt is so versatile! Would also look great with a chunky sweater layered over it.

I’ve owned this black slip skirt since November of 2020 and have worn it countless times.

Here is another affordable black slip skirt, looks to be a slightly different cut!
