Helloooo, long weekend! I think I speak for everyone in Chicago when I say we’re beyond ready for the summer-like sunshine that’s gracing us right now. Will we ever not talk about the weather? Probably not!
My mom flew up from Kansas last night (remember when I said I’m going to put her to work 😉 ) and we kicked things off at a launch party on a luxury yacht with the Anthony Michael Interior Design team and had the BEST time with Jessica and Cody! I’ll be sharing more on that next week – it’s a must do for summertime chi! As for the rest of the weekend, we’re going to be eating and drinking our way through the city, one patio at a time. I’m excited to check a few things off my spring bucket list, too! I’ll be sharing in real-time on Instagram and Snapchat if you’re interested in following along with me there!
There are tons of Memorial Day Weekend sales to shop and my online shopping carts are filled to the brim with everything I hope to be wearing in the coming months (assuming Chicago doesn’t pull a fast one on us).
I’m all about the summer sweater right now. Living in Chicago has taught me you can never be too prepared and the summers really are so much more mild than what I was used to back in Kansas and Missouri! I’ve been wearing this pullover sweater non-stop since I got it, and I love the look of this crewneck sweater. I picked up these high-rise shorts last summer and can’t wait to break them out again this season (side note: I roll them once because I’m not a huge fan of the frayed look!). They would look super cute paired with this red peplum tank and a pair of ankle wrap sandals, don’t ya think? Also, can’t get enough of this light blue smocked top!
I’ve been on the search for a new gingham dress and have plans to pop by Alice and Wonder to try on this bow back tank at some point this weekend.
