Happy Wednesday, friends! The sun is shining and I’m heading to my first Cubs game tonight, so no complaints here. How has your week been?My mom, stepdad, grandma, sister, and niece (practically the whole crew!) are coming to visit me here in Chicago for the first time over Mother’s Day weekend and to say I’m excited would be a vast understatement. I can’t wait to take them around to some of my favorite spots in the city and finally show my grandma that Chicago is not, in fact, the hilly landscape she thinks it is (bless her heart 🙂 ). We’ve already got a pretty packed itinerary so we can make the most of their time here, but if there are any places someone visiting for the first time should see, let me know down in the comments!

I haven’t shared in this space yet, but my best friend Whitney just found out she’s going to be having a baby boy in September! Whitney is like a sister to me and watching her go through this experience has been special to say the least. I can’t wait to be “Aunt Jess” to her little man.

My friend Nicole designated this candle as her home’s signature scent and I’ve been dying to get my hands on it ever since. She has impeccable taste and I feel confident saying you can’t go wrong with this either!
