I haven’t really had the urge to run this week. I went on one 3-miler and struggled through another two last night, but that was it. I won’t hesitate to say that I may be feeling a little burnt out on running at the moment. My next half won’t be until September when I run the Broadway Bridge Half Marathon, which leaves me plenty of time to relax and try out some new fitness classes!
On the agenda in the coming weeks: Bar Method (bikini booty, here I come!), Yoga and Bootcamp.
What’s your fitness mood at the moment?
p/s There are just a few more hours until the close of the Tulip Twist contest. I would love you forever (just kidding, I already will) if you stopped by their Facebook page and commented with the letter “F.” I hope you have an amazing holiday weekend filled with all of your favorite things!
I struggled with working out this week too… in fact, I have only worked out once so far… was supposed to last night and decided to watch the Hills instead lol! I am definitely planning on it today and tomorrow though, so that gets me up to 3 times this week π I think it is hard to not be so HARD on ourselves though, like I don’t want to beat myself up about it, but I also have goals in mind. I’ve never run a half marathon, but I’m sure when you are preparing to run it can be hard to not get down on yourself about sticking to a running schedule! I think if you already ran one, you got this one in the bag!
You are awesome! That is such an accomplishment, and I don’t blame you for wanting to take a break. It’s good to take a breather once in a while so you don’t get burnt out. Let me know how you like Bar Method. I’ve been thinking about trying that, too. Have a great weekend!
It’s been quite nice to take it easy this week. I’ve gone on a few jogs, but a lot of walking.
P.S. I fully support yoga! π
Congrats to you girl! That is awesome that you’ve complete TWO half marathons!
Hope you enjoy the long weekend!

you and I are the same – I get sick of a workout if I do the same thing over and over again. Every week I try to mix it up – I’ll do a couple of different classes, run, use the elliptical or do weight training. That way I’m mixing it up throughout the week!
The Style Scribe
You are totally a rockstar – i can’t believe you’ve been running up such a storm lately! And as for this week, well, everyone deserves a week off now and then π
Also, I just read your weight loss story and I am SO STINKING IMPRESSED and proud of you girlfriend! You deserve all the happiness in the world, and I’m amazed by your diligence and determination (I wish a had an ounce of what you have!) You = rock star status. xx
Congrats for running your second half marathon!! You are a champ – I ran a 5K once, hated it and swore I’d never do it again. BUT I am addicted to Barre classes as well and have been going to BarreAmped twice a week. It hurts but it works!
Way to go on your half marathon PR! That’s awesome! Right now I haven’t been very good at fitness, but full marathon training is starting next week.. So I think I’m savoring the calm before the storm. π
Krista
Thank you so much Krista! I totally feel you on that. Savor all you want girlfriend, things are about to get crazy! Good luck π
Catherine, thank you so much! I’m glad that you enjoy Barre, it gives me something to look forward to! Thinking tonight may be my first class π
Ah, thank you sooooo much Maya! It was scary to share all of that, but it felt so good to get it off my chest! I’m still working on being healthy and treating my body right, but those damn donuts get in the way sometimes π
I’m so thrilled that you put together the #RealBloggerBeauty Campaign. That takes major determination and shows your heart of gold π
Such a great idea! I tend to get hooked on something and then burn out and I’m on to the next thing. Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
Thank you Shannon, you’re too sweet! I hope your weekend was lovely!
I reallllly took it easy this weekend and my body can feel it! I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine this week. Hope your weekend was great!
You’re the best, Kari! I will definitely let you know how it goes. I’m hoping to make it to my first class tonight!
The struggling lasted all the way through the weekend for me! But I feel refreshed and I’m ready to hit it hard this week! Sometimes a good Hills binge is just necessary π You can do anything you put your mind too!
Congratulations on running your second half! I’ve done three before: the first one was just for completion, and then I got really addicted to trying to get better times. Are you running any more this year?
Thank you so much Lindsay! I totally feel you there. It’s a challenge for me now and I want to beat my times! I’m going to run the Broadway Bridge Half at the beginning of September. Anything upcoming for you? π
Everyday seems like a constant struggle when it comes to fitness but once you start feeling stronger and seeing your body take on another shape.. It’s worth it. It’s awesome. It’s like all the sweat and soreness happened years ago.
I am so incredibly proud of you! I read your weight loss story and I love that you’re pushing through with health and fitness up to now. I share the same experience (though mine is just 20lbs of extra weight) so I understand what you’ve been through.
I will be going on a fun run (5KM yey!) next month and I simply cannot wait! π

Hi Jennica! Thank you oh so much for all of the sweet and encouraging comments on my blog posts. I have never ever thought to myself, “man, I wish I hadn’t done that workout.” It’s all so worth it!
Losing 20lbs is a HUGE accomplishment, congrats! Good luck at your race π
Love the layout of your blog and can’t wait to take a peek around!
You’re welcome. I go to your blog when I’m lacking inspiration at work! Thank you. =) I just finished with my workout, so I know what you mean. I was so sleepy when I started but now, I feel better and way more fulfilled that I’m done!
I’m so happy you said that about my layout! I did it myself–through lots of research for html (efficient ones, the shorter the better!) and google/pinterest searches! =)
That’s so sweet of you to say!
You did a great job with the layout π
