Weekly Rounds Vol. 93

Hi!! It’s been so long since I’ve shared a weekly rounds post and it’s really a shame because not only are they one of my favorites to put together, I know you all like them as much as I do. Here’s to getting back to regularly scheduled programming!Sweet Mandy B cinnamon roll | Weekly Rounds Vol 93

Weekly Rounds Vol 93

I’m not thrilled to report that I’m writing this from my bed, where I’ve more or less been since Wednesday afternoon, save for a few walks to the kitchen (because when I say I’m never not hungry, I really do mean I am never. not. hungry. 102 degree fever and all 🙃). Seems as though I’m one of the lucky ones who got the flu shot and still ended up down for the count. I had to cancel yoga with friends, a restaurant opening on Thursday, my favorite weekend workouts, and a really fun speed dating event with my friend Liz of Overheard in Chicago tonight…ugh. BUT I’m super thankful I’ve got tonight and all day tomorrow to just chill out and give my body the rest it needs.

What are you up to the rest of the weekend?!

I hope you enjoy this round-up of links and find something you love!

Journaling prompt: Think of one area of your life that brings you discomfort and focus on the growth you’d like to see there.

Song of the week: Daphne Blue – The Band Camino. Turn it up and listen as you browse. 🙂

Your horoscope for 2020, according to your sign.

I only just read mine a few days ago and it was so in line with the end of year letter I shared last week it’s almost scary. Almost. 😉

I read the book Modern Love (shared in this post) in two days and can’t recommend it enough.

Thinking I’ll start the Netflix series tonight because everyone is telling me I need to!

I’ve been living in this Free People mock-neck sweater!

I found it on sale for $70 (use code WINTER at checkout for the extra discount). A note on sizing: the fit is meant to be oversized, but I still think it runs pretty big. I originally ordered a small and ended up exchanging it for an extra small and now it’s perfectly roomy.

Never really considered myself the cardigan type, but I love the less structured shape and billowy sleeves we’re seeing more and more of.

I ordered this one (only $28!) after seeing it on Liz and was pleasantly surprised by the quality! Really loving the colors in this rainbow one, too.

I’m hosting a FREE yoga class at Yoga Six this coming Thursday and I’m so excited to meet some of you in person!

My friend Dana is going to be leading us and Athleta Oak Street will be there with some goodies. I hope to see you there!

On the topic of working out, has anyone tried the Year of Ours line?

They have some really cute things, like this ruffle bra and this one with the cutout in the back.

I am SO excited for my friends Kit and Charles!

I’ve always joked that I’d love for them to adopt me (mostly because she’s always making sure I’m well-fed and he’s always giving me advice on men) and I just know they are going to make the most incredible parents!

I ordered this bodysuit for a show I’m going to in February.

And how perfect would this two-piece set be for summer festivals?! So many new-to-me brands popping up!

Oh man, this raffia tote from Clare V. is SO good.

I love the shape and the poppy red and navy together ugh.

If I wasn’t going to be in Kansas City to watch the Chiefs play in the Super Bowl, I’d make this brie and fig jam appetizer from my friend Lauren!

Thinking I’ll have to come up with an excuse to whip them up when I’m back.

Cooking for one can be really hard sometimes.

Whenever I buy chicken, I cook what I want and then break up the rest into a few servings and freeze until I’m ready to use. Everyone has been raving about Liz’s chicken tenders and they look so good!

Two new snack flavors I can’t get enough of lately:

Cosmic Cranberry kombucha and the Coconut Peanut Butter Perfect Bar (usually not a fan of anything coconut, but this does it for me!)

I don’t need new luggage, but of course I really want to upgrade mine to this new style from Calpak.

Updated my Chicago Guide to include a few new-to-me spots that quickly became favorites!

The vodka pasta at Gilt Bar, need I say more?

Starting a petition for Sol Sana to bring back these combat boots!

I’ve found a few other pairs that look super similar and yet I find something wrong with all them (the soles are too thick, etc.), which leads me to keep wishing these would restock in my size.

As usual, don’t forget to check out the sale section on Shopbop!

It takes a little digging, but I’ve found so many great investment pieces there. And I almost always make it a point to check “what’s new” each day and favorite the pieces I’m interested in.

Alright, that’s all I’ve got for now. I hope the rest of your weekend is great, however you’re spending it! I’m always sharing in real-time over on Instagram stories, so be sure to follow along there.
