I live for cheeky crew socks and the Instagram algorithm quickly picked up on that and has been fueling my late-night retail therapy sessions ever since. I can’t be mad, though – anything to infuse a little fun into my life!
Not only are they something different from the norm, they make for great conversations starters. And god knows I need all the help I can get there as it’s become very apparent I need to brush up on my small talk after engaging in little to none of that the majority of 2020 (please tell me I’m not the only one struggling here 🙃).
Last week I was standing in line with a cute guy at CVS and he gestured toward my Busy Doin’ Nothing socks and laughed and said he liked them with just the right amount of enthusiasm. To which I responded, “thanks, I got them on Shopbop!” before turning back around to pay for my things. Clearly he wasn’t looking to buy a pair for himself 🤦🏻♀️. And so, I took note and filed that encounter away under the Missed Connections section of my life, vowing to do better the next time an opportunity to meet someone in the wILd~* presents itself.
But anywho, onto the goods…
Mother is my go-to for irreverent crew socks, including my Deep Breaths crew socks (sadly, the pair above are sold out everywhere!) but these Mother Fucker socks are a must, and these Little Fucker socks? TOO CUTE. They have so many options and so many colors–i’m obsessed!
