Happy Thursday, friends! Today is like my Friday because one of my best friends gets in this afternoon! Tish is flying in from Kentucky and we haven’t seen each other since our trip to Florida in 2019 and I’m just so excited to reunite with her. Trying not to be emotional about it, but you know me. 🤪 We are going to do what we do best: eat and drink our way through the city, soak up the sun, and laugh until our cheeks hurt.

I ordered some new things knowing my schedule is filled with similar reunions and celebrations all summer long and I can’t wait to get dressed for them!

I hit a personal goal of mine a few weeks back and knew I wanted to splurge on something I wouldn’t have justified otherwise and the second I saw this rattan tote bag (also love this one!), I knew that was it! It came in the mail yesterday and it’s every bit as beautiful in person. So summery and versatile, and the leather trim and strap are perfectly patinated. It also comes in a beautiful black leather trim!

I more or less lived in t-shirts or dresses last summer, but now I’ve found myself in desperate need of nicer tops I can throw on with shorts or jeans. I placed an order for this double-tie short sleeved cardigan, red flutter sleeve top, and navy gingham cami! Fingers crossed the sizing is right as our Abercrombie in Chicago closed during the pandemic and I used to like trying things on in person there because their sizing can be a little all over for me! You all loved this crochet-like sweater when I shared it to my Instagram stories and it’s an easy top to throw on over your swimsuit.

How pretty is this peachy floral mini dress?! It would look great running around on the weekends with my favorite white canvas sneakers (such a good price point and didn’t need any break in time!). And this punchy red mini dress (more sizes sold here) reminded me of this dress of mine. It comes in black, too and either would make for a great wedding guest option, which I know a lot of you are on the hunt for!

I also ordered this dress in leopard print after seeing it on my friend Maya the weekend before last. Fingers crossed it fits me as well as it does her (and that it comes in time for dinner tomorrow night!). Would also work as another great wedding guest dress option!

I got this white romper earlier this spring and haven’t worn it yet. Thinking it will be perfectly for the outdoor activities we have planned in the coming days!

Amazon can be really hit and miss, but I’ve found a few things worth sharing recently! I’ve already worn this $28 cover-up countess times! I loved it so much I also bought it in white.

I took a chance on this bandeau swimsuit top and bottoms after IG served me an ad highlighting Cosmo’s picks for top Amazon swimsuits and will report back if it’s as good as they say it is. I also convinced my best friend Erin she needed this mesh front one-piece swimsuit for her trip up here in July. I may or may not be a bad influence, i’ll let you decide.

Still searching for a lot of the requests you all sent over on Instagram, but one of them was a call for shorts with a 5-6″ inseam. I’m a huge fan of the AGOLDE parker shorts (so much so that I own two of the exact same pair), but they are pretty short. They offer the same short in a “long” style (and here!) and I’ve seen a few try-ons on IG and they look great! Also if you aren’t a fan of the price tag, I’ve heard great things about this pair of Levi’s which are super similar in style! I also rediscovered this button-up pair of white denim shorts I’ve had for over three years now! If you don’t roll the hem, they’re definitely a longer fit. On sale for $49 right now!

Will work on a round-up of versatile sandals (that can go from beach to restaurant/GNO) and other comfy summer sandals, more summer wedding guest dresses, sundresses, breezy dresses, basically…ALL THE DRESSES.
